SPORTING CLAYS
The 6th Annual Ronald McDonald Sporting Clays Fundraiser
Our Sporting Clays course at Fairfield County Fish & Game has evolved into a unique and formidable shooting facility. We have the capability of having 18 fully automated stations in the woods, encompassing 1 mile of groomed trail. We also have available to Members two 5 Stands; one of which is open all year. Our targets can be set to challenge the experienced and nurture the beginner.
We are a private Shooting Facility that, in addition to our Member private fun shoots, has several public shoots each year including 5 to 6 registered National Sporting Clays Association events. If any further information is needed please email one of the contacts.
Regulations Concerning use of Carts/ATVs on Club Property
To bring a Cart / ATV to any shoot at Fairfield County you must present a current insurance certificate and register it with us. Only licensed drivers can operate the cart.
News & Events
Hi Everyone,
Looks like 2025 will be another outstanding year for Sporting Clays at FCF&G. In 2025 we accomplished some remarkable achievements, at our 9th annual Ronald McDonald shoot we helped them raise in excess of $80,000 from the fundraiser. We not only had a Ton of donated food for the Newtown Food Pantry, but we also raised and donated $3500.00 to them.
We are looking forward to our upcoming 2025 events. There are six National Sporting Clays Assoc. registered events scheduled and open to the public. In September we will be hosting the 10th Annual Sporting Clays Fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut & Western Massachusetts. More information on these and our other 2025 public shoots will be forthcoming.
Our Fall League will be commencing on September 28, 2025.

Sporting Clays Year in Review - 2022
Well, 2022 was another exceptional year for us here at FCF&G, first of all I would like to take the time to Thank and let everyone know that the Sporting Clay committee outperformed themselves once again. Loaders, Target setters, mechanics, Registers and closers all work in unisons to make every shoot and every week of our Fall League well organized and successful. We have hosted the Ronald McDonald this year for the 7th time and helped them raise $76000.00 for their organization. We also held a shoot for the Newtown Food Pantry, and we collect over 600lbs of donated food items and $3700.00 in donations, we held this type of shoot for 9 years and it gets more rewarding every year. And let’s face it the shooters that attend these events are a huge part of their success. “Thanks for Coming”
Our Fall League, now over, had 125 shooters, again one of our most successful years. Our Awards Banquet will be held January 8th, so then we will see who the high scorers were. last weekend was our Christmas Shoot we had 138 shooters, Lunch was fantastic, thanks to Mike, Jan, Virgina Carris and Gary Liliengren for all their hard work. and thank you for the Members that came up to help in the woods with the Loading and clean up.
I would be remiss if I didn’t Thank Sue, for putting up with me and helping me with every shoot that we have. I know that it takes all of us to make Sporting Clays so successful, not Just a “Great Leader” !!
Thanks Again
Dom Uliano
